History of IATC:
- 1974 First Eid celebrated in apartment complex, Stepps Hall, Fort Worth
- 1975 Islamic School started in members’ homes Monday/Wednesday
- 1975 Eid prayer were held at member’s residence
- 1977 Prayers/Friday prayers/Quranic discussion took place at member’s home
- 1977 West side YMCA on Calmont rented on Sunday 11-2 PM for classes/prayer/Quranic discussion
- 1977 IATC constitution drafted. Birth of IATC officially
- 1978 First fund raising meeting; current land of IATC Masjid purchased approximately for $15,000
- 1981 Masjid Built
- 1982 Service of full time resident Imam were acquired from Muslim World Leauge
- 1993 True concept of Shura was introduced
- 1995 Ar-rawdah Cemetery land was bought
- 1996 Ar-rawdah Cemetery completed in April
- 1996 Al-Hedayah School became a part of IATC and later separated form IATC
- 1996 IATC accepted the donation of 6.2 acre land for New Islamic Center
- 2002 Ground breaking ceremony took place of IATC new Islamic Center, (Masjid Al-Ibrahimi & TSIS Sunday school)
- 2002 Concept of Board of Trustee was introduced
- 2005 Phase I: Opening Ceremony New Islamic Center (Al-Ibrahimee & Sunday School ).
- 2008 Phase 2: Imams residence Two units have been constructed on the south east end of the property
- 2012 Phase 3: Multi-purpose Hall/Youth Gym: Plans are in place. Ground work is completed and utility lines have been brought to the site. WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN INSHA’ALLAH!
Mosque Includes:
- Men & women separate general entrance with lobby.
- Administration offices/general services.
- Interfaith/Sisters Room.
- Ghusl facilities (body preparation).
- Large prayer hall.
- Large wudhu areas with designated shoe and coat rack.
- Babysitting/Nursery room.
- Conference Room.
- Library.
- Basketball court and soccer field.
- Large parking area.
- Ten classrooms and computer lab.
- Elevator.
